Regular Season: 19-10; 1st Place (Tied)

"S'cuse me, pardon me, s'cuse me, so sorry..."

The Storm keep rolling, winning in Atlanta last night 83-69. With both LJ and Sheryl (bone spur in heel) out, this was a much closer game than it should have been, but with the win we now pull even with San Antonio for the top slot. Los Angeles, meanwhile, is quietly creeping up, sitting only a game and a half behind in 3rd.

Sue Bird was one assist from a double-double, scoring 21 points and 9 assists. Camille Little, acquired from Atlanta earlier this year, scored 16. Yolanda also had 16, with Swin and Tanisha each ringing up 11 points.

Former Storm players Betty Lennox and Iziane Castro-Marques had good nights, too, scoring 25 and 12 respectively.

Not much else to say, really.

Next Game: Thursday, 9/4 in Chicago. The Sky are on a 3-game winning streak right now, including a 1-point squeaker against Detroit last Sunday. Sylvia Fowles is back in the line-up, and while they are on the verge of playoff elimination Chicago is only 2.5 games behind Indiana for 4th place in the East. I wouldn't count on the Storm having an easy go of it, but I still expect we'll come home with a win.

Where did that pic come from? It looks like Ivory Latta is the recipient of a Storm karate chop.

I know, right? Quite the attempted flop.

Photo was out on the web; it's an Associated Press photo.
